Stephen Hicks brings his career-long expertise in the Fragrance & Flavor world to Yesse Technologies. He retired from The Procter & Gamble Company in October 2012 after 35 years in research & development leadership positions. His P&G career experience spanned most P&G categories, global responsibilities, and primary product development functions. He spent his last dozen years managing P&G’s global flavor and fragrance program (including fine fragrances and all perfumes/flavors used in all brands worldwide).
Mr. Hicks is the Principal and CEO of Hicks Innovation Consultants LLC, providing expert management consultation to flavor & fragrance, aroma chemical and biotech companies in areas of business model, innovation, corporate & sales strategy, and personnel/leadership development. He has also served as an Adjunct Faculty member of the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering & Applied Sciences, teaching management to graduate level engineers.
Tom Vanhoutte is founder and managing partner of imec.xpand, an independently managed early stage and growth fund that invests in start-ups where imec knowledge, expertise, network and/or infrastructure plays a differentiating role in the success of the company.
Tom has almost 20 years of experience in private equity and venture capital. Prior to founding imec.xpand in 2016, Tom spent the first 12 years of his career at PwC in New York where he provided audit and advisory services to some of the largest and most reputed hedge and private equity funds in the world. In 2011 he joined Capricorn Venture Partners as CFO and member of the management committee.
Tom holds a master’s degree in business engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven. He is often asked as a guest speaker or panelist at start-up events.

Jenna Foger provides scientific insights and related expertise to support Alexandria’s real estate operations, business development, and thought leadership initiatives. She also leads venture investment activities and other strategic projects for Alexandria’s New York City life science cluster, most recently spearheading the development of Alexandria LaunchLabs and the Alexandria Seed Capital Platform. Prior to joining Alexandria, Jenna worked as an Associate at Windham Venture Partners, a boutique healthcare venture capital firm focused on early-stage medical device, diagnostic, and digital health investments. Before Windham, she was a Senior Consultant at Navigant Consulting (formerly Easton Associates), a leading NYC-based healthcare consulting firm specializing in new product evaluation and strategic planning for companies across the life science industry.
Ms. Foger also obtained extensive laboratory experience as a neurobiology Research Associate at The Rockefeller University. She earned her Master’s in Biotechnology from Columbia University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology.
